The following tool has been developed in the frame of the ASSIST project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.

The Report on National and European measures addressing vulnerable consumers and energy poverty gives information on how have different Member States defined issues of energy poverty and vulnerable consumers and identifies different measures that Member States have put in place to address the issues of energy poverty and vulnerable consumers. This report also analyses how EU projects have tackled energy poverty issue.

The aim of ASSIST (Support Network for Household Energy Saving) is to fight energy poverty by actively engaging consumers in the energy market, generating a positive change of behaviour in relation to energy consumption and to influence the design of energy poverty-oriented policies. It intends to contribute to tackling the main barriers of the energy market (taking into account electricity and heating) faced by a specific segment of people: vulnerable consumers with special focus on energy poor
