PROSPECT - Learning handbooks for financing energy efficiency in the public sector

As a part of peer to peer H2020 project PROSPECT, five handbooks were developed for examples innovative financing schemes in the following sectors:

  1. public buildings
  2. private buildings
  3. public lighting
  4. transport
  5. cross-sectoral (from energy production to climate change adaptation)
GreenS - Green Public Procurement (GPP) training materials

The following tool has been developed in the frame of the GreenS project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.

This part of the project work aims to systematically and strategically insert Green Public Procurement (GPP) in public purchasing decisions (= GPP institutionalisation).

STEPPING: Deliverable Library

The following tool has been developed in the frame of the Stepping project from the INTERREG Mediterranian programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. 

STEPPING - Supporting The EPC Public Procurement IN Going-beyond brings together nine partners from seven countries of Mediterranean Area for testing new approach of application of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) scheme.

Empowering Capacity Building needs analysis and mapping of regional and municipal capabilities

The following tool has been developed in the frame of the Empowering project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme. 

The Capacity Building Needs Assessment (CBNA) is performed to collect information from Local Energy Board (LEB) organizations on what are their needs in terms of capacity building for sustainable energy planning and implementing, as well as their current status regarding the topics envisaged by EMPOWERING project.

Energy + CNR, Italy

The ENERGY + CNR project is one of the winning projects (1st place) of the Innovation Award of the National Research Council, set up in 2013 on the occasion of the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the CNR. The project aims to improve the energy management service of the CNR with the participation of employees.

Governance support for cogeneration installation in a public swimming pool, Italy

The municipality of Catania is the owner of a public swimming pool with high level of energy consumption. The objective of the project is to reduce the energy consumption through the installation of a cogeneration plant. This good practice is one of the measures carried out by the Municipality of Catania for SEAP (Sustainable Energy Action Plan) implementation.

RES heating plan in Rhodope Region tо 2030, Bulgaria

The mail goal is effectively utilization biomass potential in municipalities, members of Association of Rhodope Municipalities, 21 in total. The association has established an energy efficiency council with energy experts from different municipalities. The board will be responsible for the monitoring and implementation of the plan for renewable heating and cooling.

Public Sector Energy Programme, Ireland

In order to implement the European Union climate plan’s objectives within its territory Ireland wished to set up a program to reduce the energy consumption in the public sector through measures supporting a responsible energy use. The aim is to provide innovative solutions for the implementation of projects that meet European objectives.
