Facilitation of Energy Project Investment in Local Authorities, Ireland

The programme offers a solution to LA struggling to gain investment in energy projects. It adds a structure to energy project assessment with performance indicators and financial models. This innovative funding solution operates such that the Energy Conservation Budget is utilised with an internal Energy Performance Contract (EPC). This is equivalent to an Internal ESCO (Energy Services Company).

Code of Conduct for Energy Performance Contracting (EPC)

European Code of Conduct for EPC (Energy Performance Contracting) has been developed for energy service providers (ESCOs). The Code of Conduct defines the fundamental values and principles for successful EPC projects preparation and implementation. It constitutes a guarantee of quality of EPC projects. The EPC Code of Conduct is a voluntary commitment and is not legally binding. The key message of Code of Conduct is that EPC represents a fair energy business model. It has been developed within Transparense project and launched in 2014.
