PROSPECT - Learning handbooks for financing energy efficiency in the public sector
As a part of peer to peer H2020 project PROSPECT, five handbooks were developed for examples innovative financing schemes in the following sectors:
- public buildings
- private buildings
- public lighting
- transport
- cross-sectoral (from energy production to climate change adaptation)
Heat Roadmap Europe - A low carbon heating & cooling strategy for Europe
In Europe, more heat is wasted during electricity production than is needed to heat all buildings. Therefore, the potential for improvements in the heating sector is immense.
By collecting the wasted heat from both industry and electricity production and using smart district heating grids, it is possible to save all of the natural gas currently used for heating buildings in Europe This would result in not only monetary savings, but also in a consideration CO2 emissions reduction.
EPATEE Case studies
The following tool has been developed in the frame of the EPATEE project which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.
PUBLENEF final conference
A new Energy Efficiency Directive has been agreed upon and Europeans now have their new target: 32,5% for 2030. Public authorities through their energy efficiency strategies will be the main drivers for implementing the necessary measures and monitoring their impact towards this new target.
Energy Plans and Roadmaps for Sustainable Future
The purpose of our seminar is to improve the capacity of forerunners of sustainable energy/transport sector to roadmap the energy transition in European communities. The seminar sets on the wider background of the challenges that EU communities are facing on energy planning. Increasing need for the coordination between the different priorities (social, environmental, technological) and disciplines (transport and logistics, ICT, commerce etc) requires further advancements on planning.
